Part 1
Where your answers live
Answers are under “Business knowledge” on the Receptionist page. What you confirmed from your website during setup is already there, and questions callers asked that your receptionist wasn't sure about show up as suggestions.
- 1
Read each suggestion
- 2
Approve the ones that are right
Edit any that are close, and remove ones you don't want.
- 3
Publish
Callers get the new answers once you press Publish.
Part 2
Add your own answers
- 1
Press Add answer
Under “Business knowledge” on the Receptionist page.
- 2
Write the question the way a customer would ask it
For example: “Do you do weekend call-outs?”
- 3
Write the answer the way you'd say it on the phone
Short, plain and specific.
- 4
Choose a category, save, then publish
You can add up to 30 answers. Remove one you no longer need to make room for another.
Part 3
What makes a good answer
- Prices or price ranges, and what affects them.
- The areas you cover — and the ones you don't.
- What you don't do, so your receptionist can say so politely.
- How soon you can usually attend or book someone in.
If you don't want a price quoted on the phone, say so in the answer — for example “We quote on site after a free inspection”.
Part 4
Check it's working
On the Receptionist page, press “Test receptionist” and ask the question you just added. If the answer isn't right, edit it under “Business knowledge” and try again.
