See a call end to end
Try your receptionist yourself, then follow the call through everything it creates.

Part 1
Try it without making a call
On the Receptionist page, “Test receptionist” lets you type what a caller might say and see how your receptionist replies, using your current settings and knowledge.
Open the Receptionist pagePart 2
Make a real test call
- 1
Call your business number from another phone
- 2
Book something
Ask to book one of your booking types for a day next week, and give your name and a mobile number.
- 3
Hang up when you're done
Part 3
Follow the call through
- Conversations — the call appears with the receptionist's summary and the full conversation, on the caller's card with their details.
- Bookings — the booking is there, marked as made on a call, with its booking type.
- Follow up — press Follow up on a conversation to keep it under Needs you. Replying to the customer clears it, unless you set a due time; otherwise press Done on that call. A text or email you only need to read has an Acknowledge button on the message itself.
- Status — the label next to their name shows Nimble's status (Needs you, Waiting on them or All caught up). Tap it to pick your own, like Quote sent or On hold, or add your own statuses. Yours stays until they next call, text or email.
- Your phone — if texts are on, the caller gets a confirmation text for their booking.
Part 4
If something's off
- Wrong answer? Update it under “Business knowledge” on the Receptionist page, then publish.
- Didn't book? Check Bookings is switched on under “Bookings & messages”.
- Call didn't arrive? Check the service status on the Help page, then your call forwarding and Who answers in Settings → Your number.
